GROUP TOUBKAL TREK 2 DAYS: AMAZING TWO DAYS IN ATLAS MOUNTAINS WITH LOCAL GUIDES FOR BEST ATLAS EXPERIENCE

We provide winter and summer hikes, either to the summit or as part of a circuit, as well as multi-day treks that include visits to Berber communities and valleys.

ITINERARY FOR GROUP TOUBKAL TREKKING FOR 2 DAYS

Mountain Toubkal (4167m), the highest peak in North Africa, maybe reached by trekking. The ascent to the summit is difficult, but it takes no prior climbing expertise, and the breathtaking views from the top make the effort worthwhile.

A 2-day trek to the summit of Mt Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, green valleys, and Berber villages, as well as meeting Berber guides and muleteers, is a fantastic way to experience the top of Azzaden valley and climb Mt Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. The schedule has been created for experienced hikers because the ascent is not technically difficult, but does entail some simple scrambling and snow slopes on the way up.

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil 1740m – Toubkal Refuge 3207m.

In Marrakech, you will be picked up from your accommodation, driven to Imlil valley, and then embark on your trekking adventure. After being greeted by a member of the local team, you will begin hiking through the At Mizane valley, towards the town of Aremd, and then on to the Sidi Chamarouch sanctuary and the adjoining waterfall. Continue on difficult routes to the Toubkal refuge, where you will spend the night in a refuge. (about 4-5 hours of walking).

Day 2: Refuge 3207m – Toubkal summit 4167m – refuge 3207m – Imlil 1740m – Marrakech.

Make an early start the next morning in order to climb the peak of Jbel Toubkal, which is the highest point in North Africa. Cross the streams and navigate your way through the rocky terrain to reach the other side. The plateau offers stunning views over the surrounding area, including Marrakech's plain and the High Atlas mountains in the north, and the Anti-Atlas and Sahara deserts to the south. Take a break from your journey to take advantage of these spectacular vistas. Once you have reached the peak, begin the gentle descent to the bottom of the mountain and the town of Imlil, before continuing on to Marrakech. Approximately 10 to 12 hours walking plus 1 hour and 30 minutes driving.

NOTE: Because this is a group Trekking in the Atlas Mountains, so you will be travelling in shared group with other trekkers with local guides. If you have any question, please fill out the contact form for Morocco Trek.

We also offer guided tours of the region. They differ in terms of endurance, difficulty, and duration. It is possible to rent equipment at the trailhead settlement of Imlil, and you should let us know if this is something you are interested in doing before your trek begins. In the summer, you can also choose to camp, and we will provide you with all of the necessary equipment.
